BBC RADIO & TV SHOWS

David Allan

"When we first met up in the late 1960's, JON DEREK was already an established name and an obvious choice to appear with his talented group of musicians Country Fever on the first edition of my show 'Country Style' on the then brand new BBC Radio 2. Thanks to my inspired producer, the late Ian Grant, Jon recorded many sessions for us and was equal to anything we featured from America. The reaction of the listeners was always hugely positive."

DAVID ALLAN (Former BBC Radio Presenter)

Jon Derek was featured on TV shows 'Late Night Line Up', 'Walk Right In', 'Colour Me Pop' 'George the Fourth Show', 'The Best In The Country' and, programmes featuring highlights from both the 'Wembley Country Music Festivals' and the 'Peterborough Country Music Festivals' on the BBC and Anglia TV/ITV respectively. As far as radio was concerned, Jon took part in countless 'Live' and 'Pre-recorded' radio shows throughout his career. He was a frequent participant on shows such as 'Country Meets Folk, 'Country Style' and 'Country Club' and would often guest on 'The Terry Wogan Show', 'The Jimmy Young Show' and 'The Dave Cash Show', among others.
